NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE PROMOTION OF SOMATIC CARE IN MENTAL HEALTH

ANP3SM is an association created in September 2002 to promote somatic care and management of pain in mental health and for patients with autism spectrum disorders

The Association’s Mission:

-To promote somatic care in mental health, and also in the case of patients with autism spectrum disorders

-To valorize the global approach to patients with mental disorders

-Improve coordination, communication, and training. Not solely in France but also, in other countries of the world. ANP3SM fosters encounters between other professionals in the world, in order to exchange experiences and to offer more solutions.

Who are we?

ANP3SM was created following two requests expressed by users in the Caniard Report in 1999, which have been included in the French national law of 4 March 2002 on Patients’ Rights, expressing

– A need for transparency and information

– True respect for patients’ dignity.

In addressing this last point, mental health users insist on the necessary humanization of reception and hospitalization conditions and on improving the quality of somatic care.

Our association is open to all  professionals concerned by the care-giving in mental health, for patients and their relatives.
